We will remember Maggie Daley!
ZAM’s Hope Community Resource Center extends sincere condolences to former Mayor Richard M. Daley and his family on the untimely passing of their beloved wife and mother, Maggie Daley. She passed away Thursday night after a long battle with cancer. Maggie Daley was an amazing and gracious woman, who loved our city and she gave so much to the city’s cultural and educational programs. She had great dignity and she was an inspiration for all of us. She was a remarkable woman. All of us are blessed that she was in our lives.

Maggie Daley has sparked memories from many who knew her or just saw her handle the role of Chicago's first lady with warmth and grace. Maggie Daley was an extraordinary and elegant woman who dedicated her life to public service. She will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with former Mayor Richard M. Daley and the entire Daley family.
